The upcoming 2026 season will be Coach West’s first year as head coach of the Pickens High School boys and girls golf teams. He was the assistant golf coach last year and an assistant tennis coach the year before that. 

This is Coach West’s third year teaching at PHS and eighth year in Pickens County. Overall, he has been teaching middle and high school in Georgia for more than 16 years. In addition to golf and tennis, Coach West has coached football, baseball, and lacrosse. 

Coach West lives in Canton with his wife and three daughters. When not coaching, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, woodworking, playing golf (obviously), and relaxing. 

He is beyond excited to begin his tenure as the Dragons’ head golf coach. Great things are coming!
